About CATAMARAN and DINGHY Sailing
Sailing from Pinnaroo Point, Hillarys which is about 2 Km north of Hillarys Marina. We cater for catamaran and dinghy sailing "off-the-beach" in an ideal beach location with enjoyable breezes and uncongested, clean waters.
During the morning there is practice, coaching & casual sailing, and during the afternoon there is racing, on every Saturday from October to April (except long weekends & Xmas/New Year), and also occasional days during winter. Refer to Cat News items for current sailing activities programme.
A wide range of talents and sailing abilities are catered for.... from beginners & learners, to sailors who have performed creditably and are placegetters in State and National Titles. The majority of the catamaran fleet are Windrush 14 and Hobie 16 catamarans, and other types are welcome to join us. The dinghies are expected to continue to grow in numbers, especially as a result of the training courses. We can teach you to sail and how to race these exciting craft. This will enable you to also take part in sailing activities at other locations. Further coaching and information about this family sport, is available each Saturday during October to April when the group sails.
This is a family sport for people of all ages and abilities, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Anyone is welcome to come down to the beach on a Saturday to see the fun and excitement of sailing and have a trial sail. Crew may be needed..
