About the Dive Section:

The section comprises of approximately 40 divers.  Club dives generally take place from club members' private boats, although there are the occasional charter or shore dives planned.

The section is now able to provide PADI dive courses at very competitive prices.  These have the added value of small groups and the continued support of the very experienced divers within the section.

As most diving is from members' boats, it is important to become an integral part of the section by attending meetings and social gatherings such as the diver’s dine in.  These are monthly and appear on the dive calendar.  These meetings allow you to meet the divers and skippers and arrange forthcoming weekend diving.  As with all clubs, you get out of it what you put into it.

The duty diver (who generally is the Rear Commodore unless cover is arranged) will try to hook up divers and skippers.  Call on a Thursday night to try to arrange a dive for the weekend.

There are a number of regular dive and social trips on the calendar including, canoeing in Nanga, crabbing at Pt. Peron and dive trips to Rottnest, Albany, Dunsborough, Jurien Bay plus club dives on the local reefs.

The section has its own air filling facility which has recently been upgraded with monies from the section fundraising.  Club members can use this facility after undergoing a short training session.  Currently fills cost just $2.  We also have 2 oxygen kits which are taken on club dives.

We look forward to seeing you become an integral part of the club activities.
