Bali by the Sea 2.0
After the success of our first Bali by the Sea and with lots of people missing out, we have decided to bring back Bali by the Sea 2.0!
Time & Location
19 Mar 2022, 12:00 pm
Ocean Reef, Marina Boat Harbour Quay, Boat Hbr Quays, Ocean Reef WA 6027, Australia
About the Event
We all love Bali for many reasons - from warm welcomes by the amazing locals, dancing the night away at Potato Head and Kudetah, shopping at the market stalls, massages on the beach, hair brading, sunsets, and adventures to visit the many jungles, temples, waterfalls, rice paddocks and mountains - the list is endless.
Our first Bali by the Sea event raised over $800 to go to the "Lets Help Bali" Foundation that fed 52 families. Given the success of the first event and with lots of people missing out, we have decided to bring back Bali by the Sea 2.0 to do it all over again! Part proceeds of the day will go to the Lets Help Bali Foundation for more care packages to be distributed to families.
The day will kick off from 11am and will feature an array of Indonesian Cuisine and loads of cocktails and bintangs to satisfy the taste buds. For entertainment we have music, performances, a bucking mechanical surfboard and bouncy castles for the kids as well as hair brading, henna tattoos and traditional baliense market stalls.
NOTICE TO ALL TICKET HOLDERS – BALI BY THE SEA 2.0
Due to the rapid moving and current Covid-19 situation, we have been notified of some ticket cancellations and refund requests. Firstly, we want to thank those patrons who are looking after their community by staying home when they have tested positive. As a small “Community Club” business model, we rely on ticket sales and more importantly the numbers of people to attend the event. To be able to put these events on for our members (at heavily discounted pricing), non-members, and kids.
There is an aspect of financial loss for us if we have multiple ticket cancellations and refund requests when we have already outlaid money 2 days out from the event. It is very hard to replace those tickets with others in such a short time, and with all of our events selling out, there are many people that miss out altogether. We really need full capacity to make the events financially viable. It is not unusual in these current times for 20%-50% of people getting Covid and not being able to come which leads to ticket refund requests and us as a business out of pocket.
If you currently have COVID or are now in isolation and cannot attend the event, we kindly ask you to please try to either resell your ticket or pass your ticket on to someone else instead of requesting a refund. For us its not about the money, its more about having the people in our club to enjoy the facilities, food and drink and making sure people don’t miss out on tickets.
However, as our patrons are doing the right thing and staying home, our policy for this event will be (if you are unable to resell or give away your tickets):
Exchanges, Donations and Refunds
Ticket holders in the below categories are to notify Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club by email as soon as possible (marketingmanager@orssc.asn.au):
1. Required to self-isolate or quarantine (which would deny you from attending the event on Saturday) due to: a. being a confirmed case of COVID-19; or b. having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; or 2. Has COVID-19 symptoms, has been tested for COVID-19, and is awaiting test results (which would deny you from attending the event on Saturday).
Requests can include to donate your ticket price to the Let’s Help Bali Foundation, Credit the amount onto Members cards to use within the club or request a full refund.
Ticket refund requests must be sent in writing to the above email address no later than Friday 18th March by 12pm. Any requests received after this will not be accepted as there is a chance, we would not be able to on-sell the tickets this close to the event.
Ticket holders must provide supporting medical documentation for a refund. Medical documentation is not required for an exchange to the next event or donation to the Let’s Help Bali Foundation. This can be in the form of the text message from WA Health or similar.
Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club does not need to provide a remedy if a ticket holder:
1. Is well and does not wish to attend an event due to fears of exposure to COVID-19; or 2. Is unwell and does not attend an event (other than due to COVID-19 illness or symptoms); or 3. Is from a group at a higher risk of COVID-19; or 4. Is denied entry into the event for reasons which were disclosed to the ticket holder in the ticket terms and conditions at the time of sale. For example, these reasons may include (but not be limited to) unwillingness to provide personal contact information when requested. 5. The ticket holder attends the performance and subsequently leaves part way through due to feeling unwell.
Moving forward all ticket sales to all events will have a no refund policy. We kindly ask you to try and resell or give your ticket to someone else who would like to come.
Thank you so much for all of understanding and support in these challenging times.
